Galen L. Clark has been an active trial lawyer in Kentucky and Indiana since 1991. He has been recognized as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers. His trial work includes auto accidents, wrongful death actions, medical malpractice, personal injury, defamation, contract disputes, business ligation, criminal defense, DUI defense, and divorce. He helps his business clients avoid lawsuits by providing expert business formation and structuring advice as well as conducting early review of proposed contracts and business ventures. Galen has successfully defended several multi-million dollar lawsuits on behalf of his clients. As an avid musician, two of his more notable cases involved helping a local Christian rock band in a recording contract conflict and defending a member of the road crew for the rock band KISS.
Galen attended the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 1991. He is a member of the Louisville, Kentucky and Indiana Bar Associations, U.S. District Court Western District of Kentucky, U.S. District Court Eastern District of Kentucky, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Galen was raised in Maine and moved to Kentucky in 1974. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Louisville and then studied at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Louisville.
Galen is a proud resident of Oldham County, Kentucky where he is involved in many civic activities including Rotary International (LaGrange Rotary Club) and formerly President and Secretary of the North Oldham Lions Club. He is a board member of Veterans Memorial Park of Kentucky. He has been a volunteer football, baseball, and basketball coach with both YMCA and Oldham County youth programs and an Assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scouts of America. Galen’s interests before law were in the Standardbred harness racing industry where he owned, trained and drove trotters and pacers for several years in New York, Pennsylvania and Kentucky.
